High Waisted Cut Offs//

Some shoot inspiration for Kate's 90s American Cool Kid shoot with Nikki. I really like all the high waisted cut off shorts.

More inspiration for Amy's traveller shoot. I like the layered looks with multiple bags and scarves.

More of Bambi Northwood-Blyth, our featured 'New Face'.

Bambi Northwood-Blyth//

As we've been chasing a few up and coming models in Britain (annoyingly, to no avail), Kate suggested that we feature new Australian model Bambi Northwood-Blyth, as she's all over the Australian blogs and dominated the catwalks of the recent Australian Fashion Week. Once I'd written the article, I kept finding editorials all over the internet featuring Bambi, so here are a few.

Kasia Bobula//

Kasia Bobula is a freelance fashion journalist and photographer. She originally studied Fashion Design at Central St Martins, but decided a career in media suited her better. She's written for the likes of Dazed, A4 magazine and Tank, and we love the photos she's posted on her blog - particularly her backstage shots. We thought as a team that Kasia would make an interesting feature for the zine because of the way in which her career has progressed, as she didn't follow the route her course would have anticipated. She also originates from Poland and has worked in New York, and so has quite a lot of culture experiences as well as that in the fashion industry. We conducted a short email interview with Kasia about her career and love for fashion, and hope to feature some of her beautiful back-stage photography to accompany the article.
Kasia has a distinctive style with her photography, and as well as being fascinated with fashion she also enjoys taking photos of sky scrapers, sleeping people and outcasts of the city.

Fanny & Jessy//

Originating from Somerset, design duo Fanny & Jessy graduated from the highly credited London College of Fashion in 2009, and have since set up their own clothing range, unaware that it would become popular to the likes of Rihanna, Lady Gaga and Sarah Harding to name a few.

Having produced two grunge-worthy collections - the fairly morbid 'I Hope You Die Soon', and more recently 'Vaniloquence' - we're thrilled that F&J have granted us permission to write an article on them, accompanied by photos from their lookbook.

Whilst researching for the feature, I came across a video the pair made in collaboration with director (and designer of their logo and visuals) Danny Sangra for their AW09 collection, I Hope You Die Soon, which I think might be good to write about on the zine blog to compliment the article in the tangible copy.

Long Time Dead//

Here's a selection of images I think could accompany my interview with photographer Sam Hiscox of Long Time Dead, Partie! Partie!, Day-Glo Poster and Gang Up.

Suki//

Up and coming model Suki Waterhouse was recommended to me by my editor Naomi Mdudu, after explaining the idea behind our zine she thought she would be perfect to feature, and I completely agree. She has been recently optioned by the renowned David Sims (who has shot for the likes of Vogue Paris, Calvin Klein, Burberry and Kate Moss for Longchamp), as well as catching the eye and working extensively with Rankin, one of my favourite photographers. I've contacted Union Models so fingers crossed we'll get an interview, as I think her aesthetic would be perfect for the 'Sex, Drugs and Rock n Roll' issue.
