Kasia Bobula//

Kasia Bobula is a freelance fashion journalist and photographer. She originally studied Fashion Design at Central St Martins, but decided a career in media suited her better. She's written for the likes of Dazed, A4 magazine and Tank, and we love the photos she's posted on her blog - particularly her backstage shots. We thought as a team that Kasia would make an interesting feature for the zine because of the way in which her career has progressed, as she didn't follow the route her course would have anticipated. She also originates from Poland and has worked in New York, and so has quite a lot of culture experiences as well as that in the fashion industry. We conducted a short email interview with Kasia about her career and love for fashion, and hope to feature some of her beautiful back-stage photography to accompany the article.
Kasia has a distinctive style with her photography, and as well as being fascinated with fashion she also enjoys taking photos of sky scrapers, sleeping people and outcasts of the city.

90's All American Kool Kid//

For the shoot with model Nikki Brazier, we have decided to collect some images that could be recreated and inspire us. I love the colour palette in these shots and have decided to keep the styling colours down to red, black, blue, and beige. I am also on the hunt for a red bandana and vintage band tee's. Nikkis hair will be styled with a soft wave and we might even dye the ends of her hair another colour (but we have to experiment first, as it might clash) I love these shots and the styling itself is the shoot personified. I love the 90's american cool kid theme that is running through and want to keep the shoot American inspired with a British edge.

David Shamas photography- http://www.davidshama.com/
See his tumblr:http://davidshama.tumblr.com/ for more of his work and inspirations.

I met David Shama in Paris for interview devised by a friend for writes for a local magazine 'Platform'. Shama claimed natural movement and imperfections 'capturing mistakes' he likes the models 'not to wait for him' He also told us, the choice of model and the attitude of shots sets the tone. When shooting he tries to think 'go with the flow' and is open to trying anything in his work.

Shama works with stylist Dephine Delafon and also his sisters Romeana and Mighera Shama who are also stylists and creative directors at high fashion brand Chanel. Shama is inspired by Self Service Magazine, the 90's, The Face, Steven Miesel and Italian Vogue. His photography is also inspired by various visuals in films and architecture in Paris & New York.
